IDT GOALS:

1. The development of a community for drama therapists and related creative arts therapists, theatre artists, mental health professionals, educators, clergy, and others.

2. Continuing, post-graduate training and education in drama therapy and creative action approaches toward working with various clients. The training can accommodate members of the NADT who are seeking RDT through the alternative path and those who need to fulfill their requirements for continuing education (CEUs).

3. The opening up of broad dialogues to expand and critically explore old and new ways of understanding healing through action.

4. Personal growth experiences through creative forms of relational drama therapy.

5. Specialized training in specific approaches to drama therapy and specific populations served by drama therapy.

6. The integration of relational drama therapy within the mainstream of mental health counseling and psychotherapy, clinical social work, pastoral counseling, and related fields.

7. The understanding of concepts, principles and theory underlying this integrative and inclusive approach to healing through action.
